CB PTT Transmit Problem
Greetings...I recently changed out the battery on my '14 Limited, 19K miles. A little background, I replaced the handlebar switch packs about 2 years ago with lighted ones. I also have had the software update done that changed the CB PTT button and the Cruise Control button, the PPT button is now on the left side and the CC button is now on the right side. While changing the battery I had a problem with the alarm sounding so I pulled the main fuse. Put everything back together and everything seemed to work fine. While on a recent ride I noticed that I can not transmit with the CB. I can hear others fine but can't transmit. I also tried the phone and that worked fine so I know it's not the headset. I just went out and tried the old (non-lighted) switch pack thinking maybe the PTT Button on the lighted one wasn't working but that one didn't work either. I also tried pulling the main fuse but again no good. Any thoughts? Maybe the CB module itself? I'd like to try all the obvious things before I bring it into the dealer...thank you!
Couple suggestions for narrowing down the issue.
As rwven suggested, watch for the CB symbol on the status line at the bottom of the screen.
Verify what channel the CB is set to (losing standby power when fuse was pulled may change the channel).
Check the CC switch on the right to confirm the software hasn't reverted to the oem configuration.
Check the PTT switch on the left to confirm the CB does/doesn't chnage the CB symbol status.
Check the passenger PTT switch (push in on front button on right speaker pod).
The channel selected could be the issue: sometimes a strong signal will wash out the receiver & you'll hear the other person even when on different channels.
If CB symbol status changes from on to transmit mode when any PTT switch depressed, the CB should be working.
If none of the PTT switch checks changes the CB symbol status, I would consider doing a radio reset & try everything again. NOTE - the radio reset will delete all presets in the radio.
If all this fails, might be time for a visit to the dealer?
Sorry. Little slow in responding. Post #3 was up before I finished typing.

Good call on checking the passenger PTT Hammz. Rob, be sure the passenger controls are enabled and a passenger headset is plugged in. I'm not sure that's necessary but it couldn't hurt.....

I'm not aware of any way to "reset" the BCM. Do you think pulling the master fuse, waiting say 10 minutes & then reinserting the master fuse would do any good?
