Just installed the WHIM and had the boombox flashed, I have a Sena 10s that pairs but I get no sound in the headphones and doesn't seem like the mic works to use for voice commands on the bike. Do I need to turn on the intercom in the boom settings or should it turn on automatically? Any help or suggestions with setting the Whim up with the Sena or Harley configurations to get this working would be greatly appreciated.
Check that your output setting is for headset and not bike speakers. If that is correct, then take a look at the volume settings. Each source can have a different volume set. And finally, if you turn on the Intercom, then you can’t use voice prompts for things like navigation. That’s mentioned in the manual.
Almost forgot. Unless you use the HD version of the Sena 20S Evo, there are a number of menu items that will not appear. You can still use the unit you have, it just won’t work as well and will be mono for audio.
I had it set for the headset speakers for everything to test and I think I turned up the volume for all sources. Is the intercom default setting off and when I want to connect to others to use the intercom do I need to go in and turn it on?
I've had the Sena 10s for a while now and did go in and tweak the settings on that before I purchased the whim because it was always saying intercom not connected try again later. Maybe I turned something off that needs to be turned back on in the settings the Sena?
Here is something you can try that is pretty simple to do and will reduce the number of things to chase down. Delete the pairings on the bike and the Sena 10S. Now take your phone and try to pair it to your Sena 10S. Put your helmet on and confirm that you can hear tunes from your phone and that if you call someone they can hear you. If this test fails, then it is likely the Sena 10S that has an issue. Remove the pairings from the Sena 10S and the phone. Now pair the Sena 10S with the HD Boom using the Sena 10S mobile phone pairing - don't pair it as a headset. Don't pair the phone to the HD Boom or the Sena for now. Put the helmet back on and see if you hear music. If you don't, then recheck that the audio setup for speakers is for headsets and that the volume controls for the audio sources are at least at the mid way point. If things are now working, you can pair your phone to either the HD Boom or the Sena, but not both! Now try making a call to confirm that the microphone works. If you still can't hear anything, then I'd look at making sure the firmware on the Sena 10S and the WHIM are up to date. If that doesn't work, then pull the fairing and confirm the connections to the WHIM and the CB cable are in place and that you are using the correct cable for connection (pre-2018 use a cable sold separately from the WHIM). If you still have problems, then you might have a defective WHIM and a trip to the dealer is in order.
As an aside, the intercom doesn't dynamically flip when something is paired. You have to manually change the setting by going to Home, Communications, Intercom and toggling it on/off from the top right corner (I'm doing this from memory so I might be a bit off, but this should help you identify where to check).
I just paired my 20s Evo Sena with my whim system on my bike. I had to turn off the phone's Bluetooth capability in order to pair the headset. Also, I had to get the Sena into the phone pairing mode for it to pair with the bike. The HD boombox has to be in the driver headset pairing mode.
Good luck partner.

Maybe I'm not being clear with my explanation of the problem. The Whim does pair with my Sena, it shows up on the boom system as a paired rider headset. The issue is the audio will not route to the headset speakers from the bike. I've verified the Sena speakers and mic do work by using it to play music and make a phone call separately from the bike. I can have the music playing on the bike speakers but when I switch it to route the audio to the Sena speakers there is nothing and if press the PTT button to try a voice command the boom system doesn't do anything. If I turn on the intercom while the music is playing on the bike speakers, the Audio decreases by about half for some reason. One thing I did notice was the audio from the bike radio will not play thru the Sena, only the music from the phone. Maybe this means the Whim just isn't working and might be defective since the only time I can get audio in the headset it comes from my phone or maybe I'm not pairing the damn things correctly or have them all paired while only certain ones should be paired. I'll keep trying different combos of Bluetooth on/off and bike/phone/Sena paired or unpaired but I'm kind of at a loos as to why I have no headset audio after the Whim says it's paired.
Thanks dyna rider and jamesgoodchild for you input.
