I always worry about the air quality when this many fires are going on at once. The last time I was in Southern Colorado it was so hazy...back in 2013...due to the fires.

Left Durango last Monday. All good, as long as you don't head up Million Dollar I think. When I left out there it was 48 degrees ! Beautiful area.
A local said the train caused the fire, said there's fires everyday, but something comes behind it and sprays water to and put it out... everyday. I guess they missed one.

Coming up from the south, the roads will be open but the smoke could be chocking if the winds are blowing that direction...the fire doubled in size last night & expected to get worse today with even more heavy winds expected...expect a quiet town and lots of people on edge...
