Hard for most people to believe, but there are some people who DO NOT use their phone for everything they do in their lives....

I use my phone for talk & text... no internet, no bill paying, no video, no social media, etc, etc, etc..

I certainly don't want a motorcycle that needs to go through my phone for navigation..... sadly, I'm sure I'm part of a minuscule minority.....
Yes you are and I'm with you on that 100%. I kept my Garmin Zumo595 and use it 95% of the time. I hate the old H-D GPS. I keep my cell phone in the trunk or glove box for emergencies only. I think in the last 3 years I've actually talked on it 2 or 3 times. Haven't texted yet. I use the phone at home or the office if I need to call anyone.

Yes it does. This August, Apple became the first company in the world to reach a $1 trillion valuation.

Can we agree that Samsung, Apple, Microsoft, any of those OS, are better than the proprietary Boom! OS?

Yes, and Garmin is better than all of them.

YES, we can definitely agree on that.

Not as a GPS motorcycle touring device. Android and iOS devices work great at what they do but they don't (to my knowledge) allow for waypoint by waypoint route planning. I can plan a route on Google Maps but if I download it to my iPhone the Google Maps app only "sees" the start and the destination. Am I doing something wrong?

Now, should somebody get a poll going with guesses as to how many years it'll take the MoCo to make it actually WORK?

If I were the MOCO I'd remove the info system altogether and stop the whining. You're going to buy the bike anyway with or without the BOOM, then buy whatever you wish. If someone is going to buy a Harley only because it has the info system doesn't deserve a Harley.

Well you can add more destinations along the way but you're limited to about 10 or so if I remember correctly.

Exactly right, and well said, Sir! Make it optional at additional cost for those who want it and will use it.

That way, folks wouldn't be forced to pay for an unwanted and useless (to them) $2000 electronic brick in the cowl.

I'd have bought my Limited without it, if that had been an option. To me, it's less than worthless.

you are NOT as you just described my way of thinking.. took me forever to even move to a smart phone and that was a Samsung victory probably 6 years ago
the phone stunk so about 4 years ago I switched to an iphone 5s and still use that same OLD by todays standard phone today.. talk RARELY, text MOSTLY
and that's usually 2 or 3 words at a time which my daughter picks on me about.. personally I hate the phone but it does comes in handy once in a while
