I replaced mine this summer in a 2014 FLHTK. Looked at a lot of info on the forum, Amazon, other stuff on line, and the HD website. In the end I went down to the HD dealer and bought an OEM. Quick, easy, no hassle, knew it would fit, easy warranty claim if needed. I am sure you will save some $$$ if you buy on-line, and several are available with higher CCA or Amp-hr. Make your own decision, I went with easy, reliable, and what I was confident would work.
I was going to go the HD route until I read all the negative reviews on their own website with the battery. So I found the Duracell Ultra 30LA AGM battery at a local Batteries Plus Bulbs store. I was also debating a ThrottleX MX30L.
Has anyone used a Duracell Ultra 30LA AGM battery? I need to get a new one and was looking at one of these. Any reviews good, bad etc.?
FIL bought one of these to put in the MIL's trike a while back and it works great. I'm getting ready to do a replacement on my '16 Limited and this will be the one I go with. He got his at the local batteries plus also. I don't remember the price, but I do know hearing her's start it seems to turn the bike over a lot easier/smoother than the oem's do.
I am looking for a new battery also. I bought my first battery, since new, 26 months ago for my 07 Dyna from H/D. It is now showing signs that it is not keeping a charge and is slow starting. I tested it and it shows to the weak side. The battery that came with the bike lasted 7 years. So I am looking for something else. I will watch this thread. I will also let you know what I decide and why.
