I had an HD branded one that only lasted a couple years, replaced it with a 4 bank Battery Tender. It's been about 6-7years now still going strong.

HD tender still going after ten years of use. It’s on the bike year round when not on the road. I don’t believe HD offers the same tender. My son has the new version from HD that works fine after a couple years use.

I have 4 Deltran units, 3 different models. Oldest was purchased in 1991. All 4 in use when not riding. No failures on any of them.

I’ve had my Deltran Battery Tender Junior for 12 years and it works perfectly.

I have two Deltran Battery Tenders in use that are pushing the 10 year mark. Deltran has up to a 10 year warranty, depending on model. Here is a link to their warranty page:http://www.batterytender.com/Warranty-Information

It seems to me that I have had my Deltran Battery Tender Jr for about 8 years now. Doesn't get used all that much as riding season never ends in AZ. But it still works when I need it to do so.

I have several Deltran and a couple of Black & Decker Battery tenders. (A first world problem that comes from owning to many motorcycles) The only failures that I've seen, so far from either, are: 1.) Running them over, and 2.) Driving off while they're still connected. Other than that they both seem fairly durable. In some cases one actually has to run them over more than once to cause a significant failure.

I've had 2 fail over the years. One was Harley branded and one Battery Tender Jr. both out of warranty. If you send them to Deltran they will replace them for about $10.
