I guess this update will still not let us connect a non HD headset with stereo.... Guess I will try and see... The WHIM has been useless for me using my Cardo Packtalk.
Blame HD all you want it is the headset that does not allow it, In the case of the whim and boom audio.
I did install the WHIM update today everything went fine . So far messing with it has shown nothing new. I have SENA S20 head sets not brand HD ones.

The Device Manager software is a new release too. It has the 30K headset included now. What else it might include, I don't know. I don't think that HD has released the 30K headsets yet.
in the install instructions for the WHIM, it say to remove the seat and locate the USB? Is this right? Or do you plug into the USB that's in the fairing?

For the WHIM, there is a micro USB port that you will have to plug a laptop into. I don't know where your's might be routed to. I installed the WHIM on my bike and I routed the USB port out under the right front fairing.
Factory install calls for the gas tank and seat to be removed to route the cable so if it is factory or dealer installed, the port may be under the seat.
The USB inside the fairing covey hole where your phone would go is a standard USB that you can plug a flash drive into and would be used to update the radio or GPS.

Actually, the HD 30K headsets can now be seen on HD's website. Interestingly enough, the 30K owners manual had been available on the HD website for several weeks.
am I the only one who can never get mine to update? wouldn't work last year, won't work now either, same issue every time, get to 72% then says failed?
