Every time I change my coolant pump lol. But true, since I'm on pump number three. Hoping with the new design I get to worry about actually just changing the coolant. Which I would probably do at the same time as brake and clutch fluids, every two years.

I have had my FLHTK six riding seasons. It now has 36500 miles on it. This winter I will do my 2nd coolant change. Have not had any pump issues so far. I seem to recall some comments that it was a solder connection breaking in the coolant pumps, taking them put. If true it would seem that the coolant in the housing wouldn't matter. I've also seen guys on here comment that they never change the coolant in their car, why should they on their bike. Well, I've owned GMC, Buick, Toyota, VW and HD. I think each manufacturer has their own unique recommendations based on their system design.

I changed the coolant at 48,000, 80,000 & 120,000 on my 14 FLHTK. 1 water pump replaced @ 82,000.

Ive changed mine three times due to the pumps. I use the Peak coolant its cheap and flows well with no coagulation.
