If I led engine astray I apologize. The (3) dealers mentioned all accept the CNA (HD) plan with no worries. I made a couple of calls prior to taking the bike in and knew about the Pre-approval situation and was happy to take care of that. Just sharing my experience and like I said above I made a point to choose Discount ESP because of what the members on this forum said about their positive experiences. I could have kept the plan I purchased and may have been just fine on the road , just not when at home without calling every dealer within a larger radius. For the record I did not try to use the Discount plan which would not have picked up until the original plan ended on July 27 of this year.
I'm a little confused on your frustration. You identified a problem with your bike after the trip and your "Extra Ride Power Sports Sold at Rommel in Annapolis" plan was still in force. Didn't you take the bike back to the dealership that sold you that plan since you were home?
If Discount ESP's plan wasn't active yet; how would they be involved?

2 years ago moved 100Mi from the original dealer and Discount was in no way involved. I informed the dealers I was buying the plan from them and was told it would not be accepted by them.
By threatening to cancel ESPs or warranties on new bikes, Harley Service Managers are admitting that the bikes are quite fragile and cannot withstand most aftermarket products.
I purchased my 16LTD along with the dealers ESP (5Years). Getting ready to expire and I followed the advice of this forum and bought the Discount ESP for another 5 years. 3500Mi. Road trip and found oil under my bike the day of return with 3 weeks left on the original ESP. Went to 3 dealers in 3 states close to me and found that none of them will accept any 3rd party plan. I thought my first one was a HD plan and Discount promised me it would be accepted at any dealer. Be careful out there folks. Thankfully I could dump Discount and get my money back. Yes I know many of you are happy with them but Im sharing my experience.
When I bought my 20 street glide I purchased what I thought was going to be the Harley Davidson ESP, like I had purchased in the past with 2 other bikes. Well it turned out that is from a company named Zurich. I called the dealer and they told me it was the same as the esp and accepted at every Harley dealership in the country. Turned out that was not the case. I picked up a screw in my rear tire at 4k miles, luckily I was at home, found it was low on a Saturday morning before leaving. Aired it up and headed to the dealer closest to my house and the service writer tells me I would have to pay for the tire and submit it to the insurance company, they would not call them or deal with them in any way. They did have a sign posted on the wall that stated we do not accept any aftermarket warranties."So I called the dealer that I bought the bike and "ESP "from and took it there. The service manager there said that every dealer should accept it and this other dealer had recently put that rule in place. He said that I should have no problem on the road with this policy, I have no real confidence in it after my first experience with it . I know I should have canceled it a year ago right after that but I didn't. Just my experience and FWIW I bought the policy from from a mega dealer owns multiple dealerships, the store that refused the policy is a mega single store 60 year dealer same owner family store less than 20 miles Rivalry away. Rivalry maybe the reason for the refusal I don't know
To update , Discount ESP still has not refunded my money. They claimed they could not for a month. Then they said they would mail it and it never came. Contacted again they claimed it was sent 2 weeks ago. Contacted today they said they might mail it tomorrow and I “could “ get it by the first week in Oct.. I am glad you all are having better luck with them but I am getting an idea of “possibly” why dealers will not accept them.
So I have discount esp warranty on my bike and took my bike to Harley, and they tore it all apart. and then contacted discount esp. And they. came and inspected it and I. now not Agreeing to fix it.. How do I get my bike back together?
