I ordered a set of Super Shox 3 weeks ago....still waiting. Hopefully they'll arrive in the next week, although with outside temperatures in the single digits, they'll stay in the box and in my basement for another month or so..........

I found Brian to be very responsive to a phone call
I have a set of Bitubos and they are a good value. It took me awhile to figure out the rebound and realized that those settings dont have to be equal. So I set one side to 1 and the side to 3. Way more smoother then having both sides equal. I was having issue with harshness and didnt want to set the rebound to soft since it would buck me off. I figured to have one side loose and the other side a bit stiff to counter the pogo
suspension tuning is a bit tricky. Set your sag and preload properly first before making any other adjustments
I love my Super Shox and doing business with Brian. Mine took 6 weeks (back in October) but was well worth the wait.
Hang in there. The cool is that they will come preset based on the info you gave him. No doing all that sag and measuring, and so on and so on like some others.
Even though I played with the adjustment, I didn't need to as they are right back at the same adjustment as when he sent them!
Old thread but after doing tons of research and speaking to Brian, I just ordered a set of Super Shox this AM for my FLHTX! Can't wait, he said they're shipping in 1-2 weeks.

My 2015 Ultra Limited has 42K on it. All on the stock rear shocks. I'm turning 61 Sunday & back is starting to feel those bumps on the road from football & paratrooper days. So many options. Progressive, Ohlins, Fox, Super Shox, Legend Revo, Pro-Action, JRI Shocks & Wilbers. Thinking of taking the plunge & getting some for my Christmas present. I'm 6'2" & 265lbs. I do long day rides on the weekends & spend a lot of time on the twisties in Western NC & Eastern Tennessee. Wife doesn't ride with me. What's everyone's set up & experiences.
Just turned 60, same issues HOOAH! I'm running Legends Revo As on rear and Axeos on the front, complete game changer. They're a bit pricey but I love the adjustability and they're cheaper than back surgery...lol
I'm currently on a 2022 RG, and previously had a 2013 Dyna Switchback, and my wife also has a 2013 Dyna Switchback.
From the Switchbacks, I have experience with Hagon Nitro 13" shocks (preload and rebound adjustable) and Bitubo Twin Adjustable (adjustable for preload and rebound)
From the RG, I have experience with RWD RS-1 shocks and Ohlins HD 044's.
- When I bought the Hagon Nitros, they were $500 or so in 2014. It took me a few "years" to really dial them in, but have to say, they were excellent. I believe those shocks are now easily over $600 though.
- The Bitubo Twin Adjustables are IMHO, currently are the best value out there. These are on my wife's Switchback and offer terrific performance in handling all kinds of road imperfections. An excellent value at $550 or so.
- The RWD RS-1's are a massive improvement over stock, and offer 4" of travel (the most travel I know of in a 13" shock), high and low compression and preload adjustment. They cost about $1k. They make the claim that once preload is set, when riding with a passenger, only compression needs to be adjusted, and not preload. I didn't find that to be the case. I understand they now have better valving than the set I bought
- Ohlins HD 044's are the best shocks I have used, however, they are by far the most expensive I've used at $1,500. They offer preload, rebound and compression adjustment with 3.6" of travel. I'm still dialing them in, however even with minimal adjustment so far, they are excellent.
