Thanks everyone. My cheap tether that came with the tour pak broke on me the other day so I bought the eglide goodies one from amazon. The shipping was $10 cheaper from there rather than buying it from the site itself.
i used the Drag Specialties tether kit and fastened it to the bolts on the retractable OEM tether so now I have parallel lid stop protection tethers
Supposedly this part is not for Rushmore ('14+) bikes. I read somewhere that the tether was too long. What bike do you have it on? Can you share a few pics? I think this is a reasonably priced approach it it fits well.
