Default Rack and Pull Missing Link

While installing PA shocks on my '22, the swingarm alignment issue got me going down that rabbit hole. Did some reading, decided I'm going to try this Missing Link adjustable stabilizer.

Who here has installed one and how did it go for you?

Ok, two friends just did it to theirs and I am going to do it as well. Now, this is what I recall from the conversation... jack up bike slightly so that you can slide a pc of paper under rear tire... remove rear shocks and ensure same length (adjust if not). Then install the missing link and adjust until swingarm is centered reinstall shocks. I think that is what was told to me.

I put her on the lift, undid lower shocks mounts. Lowered the lift until the right shock lined up. Picked it back up slightly. Measured both shock lengths, they where close. My left lower mount hole was off about a 1/8" of lining up. Pulled the stock link. The bolts backed out with no binding. The new link is kinda weird. It's nice looking but the threads where not smooth at 1st run of the nuts. Turned them all the way in but still had to pry the engine towards starboard for the bolts to line up. Checked the rear, it was about the same distance off the hole on the lower left. Maybe smidge less. I put a turn or so on the link and the shock bolt slips in and out.

No idea how it rides yet but that's where I'm at. if anything, it's a neat looking piece compared to the stock link that kinda reminds me of the shifter linkage they come with..basic. Now it's not so we'll see how she handles.

Did you loosen the motor mounts and retighten them once aligned? One of the YouTube video's I watched they did. Makes sense as it's not the "natural lay" of the rubber mounts.

I been curious about the Missing Link since you posted about it. Never heard of it before.

My rear shock mounts have about a 1/4" difference between them, I've always just put the longer one on first then lowered the bike a bit to get the other side on.

I did not touch the engine mounts. I followed the directions it came with. I think their point to this is, the swingarm is not level, the rear wheel is tilted and not running vertical. I guess we shall see what or if any changes show up.

Yup, sure did. All 2-up riding. I was looking for it to go perfectly straight without my input. That's not completely happening. It eventually needs some input from me. However, the bike does not wander as much. It seems to track straighter and I feel I'm not correcting it nearly as much.
