I have the FOBO on rubber stems and I have had zero issues for several thousand miles. The FOBO also shows up on my BoomGTS screen so I can look at it whenever I feel like it while riding. It's good stuff.

I thought the newer Boom GTS had its own TPMS built in?

Now that's interesting. How does the FOBO communicate with the BoomGTS? Straight bluetooth or via an app?
You could add HD's TPMS valve stem and sensors to your bike and have TMPS displayed on your GT6.5 or GTS head unit. Your bike's BCM has TMPS, its just disabled. It's cheaper to do when you are changing tires, so you don't have to pay to have good tires broke down to put the valve stem/sensors in. Also if you have stock gauges on your 2018, it wont display the TPMS on them, but it will on the head unit. Only thing is, if you have stock wheels on the 2018 I am showing they have 11.4mm valve stem holes, so you would have to use a "fobo" bushing in the wheel's valve stem hole (from the inside) so the HD TPMS valve stem/sensors sit tight, because they are made for 8.3mm valve stem holes... I did this on my 2016 RGU, when I switched out the BCM, and it was great for the two+ years I had it before trading the bike in on a 2023..
Otherwise, FOBO 2's are good, and they are easy to use, and in your desired price range... I used them before switching to HD's. AFAIK, FOBOs do not communicate with the bike at all, they communicate to an app on your phone.

Can you take a pic of your GTS screen showing the FOBO TPMS? I've never seen that, or even knew it was possible to get it to show up anywhere on the GTS (CarPlay or AA?), it would be cool if they have somehow incorporated it in under CarPlay or AA.
