Default rear saddlebag guards

I own a 2023 Harley street glide special. I was wondering if anyone put on the rear saddlebag guards? I looked up Harley's & saw the price. I was wondering if anyone used after market & what you thought of them. Also can you get the side covers off without removing the guards?

Be sure to google some pics because it is a different look with stretched bags on a Special.

you don’t have to remove the guards to remove the sidecovers.

Kind regards,

Be aware,if you buy aftermarket bag guards, some of them can actually hit the swing arm on a good bump. Also if you look at that area, on some bikes, the rear brake line, along with the ABS wire runs over the impact area. If the brake line gets crushed......well you know.

When I bought my 2022 RGS, I was anxious to get rear crash bars on it, just in case. HD's were on back order at the time so I took a chance and ordered from Eagle Skull Harley Parts from Ebay.I was pleasantly surprised. Really easy install, good quality. The indy shop I brought it to last summer for tires even tested them for me by dropping my bike in their parking lot! A little bruised but they held up fine.
