I really liked my LRS like you, but despite the ergonomic modifications made, I didn't get used to the position and I didn't want to install forward controls or footboards, which would have been contrary to the purpose of this bike.
So I also switched to a Touring, but on a Road King Special this time, and I'm very happy. It's like a big LRS with big saddlebags, and I think I'll modify it to a "club style" version; I like it.
Glad you found the bike you need too...

I almost got a Road King Special instead but changed my mind at the last minute. Now I kinda wish I’d got the RK. Ah well, can’t go back now.

Blocking gauges and not wanting to cut up the lower fairing cap were the two biggest factors in me running the stock bars on my Electra Glide for 4 years before pulling the trigger on t-bars. I was very apprehensive and took a big risk in going with welded t-bars since there was no room for adjustment but, after taking multiple measurements, I figured that the 2" pullback plate would enough to get the bars where I needed them. Luckily, everything worked out eventhough it took me quite a few miles to get used to the new seating position. I definitely wouldn't go back on my decision now.

I also know what you mean about regretting not going with a Road King because I was looking at them too...

I’m gonna continue to dial this in for a while and keep an eye out for someone maybe wanting to trade. There’s just a ton of baggers now and Kings seem a little slept on. I couldn’t pass on this for the price so it is what it is.

Spent a few hours finally detailing it today. That’s what helps me connect with em. One tiny scuff on a saddlebag because I haven’t figured out how high to swing my foot yet lol. I’m digging this colorway. Said I wanted an all red or white one but this gets down.

Beautiful bike, better than the new model IMHO, I like the color combo, but not fan of the bars...
How is the sound with the sound with those pipes ?

I do like the new ST models but would never pay 40k+ for one. I’m way less than half that in this one. Exhaust sounds ok. Not typical Thunderheader 2-1 like I prefer but it’ll do for now.

You made a good deal...
My question about the pipe was to know if they are not too loud ...

Not too loud. Louder at idle than on the freeway to be honest.

Thanks for your answer, I like their look, they look a bit artisanal, racing style....
