Squeaky active exhaust valve
Hi. 2014 FLHTK LTD.
UK model so it has the active exhaust valve fitted in the rhs just before the silencer. It's a butterfly valve which opens and closes linked to throttle position. A servo operates cables which open & close the valve (very similar to Yamaha exup valve).
My problem is that it squeaks, chirps, whistles, due to lack of lubrication of the valve. Normal lube would just burn off due to the pipe heat.
Has anybody solved this problem (other than removing it entirely). Im running on stock exhausts which i want to retain.
