There wasn’t one on ebay, except for the suboptimal Hogworkz rendition.

Harley’s parts situation continues to frustrate. TL/DR…

So I ordered the HD parts from Ronnies a week ago even though the HD site said “sold out”. Ronnie’s didn’t have them, but was able to see them in stock at HD, and ordered them last week, then shipped to me a day ago.

I don’t know the HD site is inaccurate regarding availability, but it is.

The HD site isn't always accurate as to availability. It is slow to reflect current status.

If Ronnie's ordered you a part, it must have been before August 11th...

As you probably know, Ronnie's lost their lawsuit with the MoCo over the ability to sell online, and like the other online retailers, they will no longer be able to ship parts outside their assigned area.

Originally, they said they would be able to take orders until 8/31/25, and would be able to fulfill those orders, even if it included backordered parts.

Unfortunately, that changed. I ordered some parts, trying to get in under the 8/31/25 deadline, and received this email from Ronnie's:

"orders@ronniesharleydavidson.com
From:orders@ronniesharleydavidson.com

Hello,

We received your order. As of Aug 11th, Harley has stepped in and will not fulfil any online orders. They say we can sell what we have in stock until Aug 31st when they totally shut us down for the mail order. So, we did not have any of the parts that you just ordered and needed to cancel it.

Sorry.

Your card has not been charged.

Thanks"

Sucks, but we finally lost Ronnie's as an online HD parts vendor...

Yep. My last order placed with Ronnie’s was 8-7 and they told me they understood they could take orders till 8-31, but clearly that changed, so I got in just under the wire.

I placed an order on 8/4 and got everything on the 18th. I placed another order yesterday and received a confirmation, but I’m noticing the charge hasn’t been posted to my credit card account. I’m waiting on a reply from them. So, for sure, they’re out of the online parts business now?

…based on the email Hat got, I’d say unless you are “in their area”, we are SOL as far as ordering from Ronnie’s (or Surdyke, or New Castle, or Utah, or Horny Toad ever again.)

Their message said they can still do mail order, as long as they "sell what we have in stock"...

The parts I wanted needed to be ordered from the MoCo to fulfill my order, so I was out of luck.

Once they no longer have any mail order stock or until 8/31/25, whichever comes first, they are officially out of the Mail Order HD parts business.... and limited to their area just like all the other dealerships...

That explains why my credit card hasn’t been charged because I’m pretty sure at least a couple of things I ordered they would have to get from H-D. Oh well, it was good while it lasted. Thanks for the 411.

Check your spam email...

I got a notice from them, that they couldn't fulfill my order, within about 2-3 hours of when I sent the order in....

Yeah, nothing from them. They probably have the two 49mm fork rebuild kits and the primary cover rubber gaskets, so that’s probably why they haven’t canceled the complete order. I’m pretty sure they don’t stock most, if not all, of the stuff on the rest of the $492 order. I’ll call them tomorrow, since they haven’t responded to my email, to see how they’re going to handle the order.

I need help identifying a connector and a few wires please. The previous owner only owned the bike for a month and didn’t like it. He said it is completely stock which it obviously is not so he was no help. The orange connector is on the right side and the three red wires are on the left if that helps.
