One thing I found out with my Samsung S3 and text messages; that if you have a lot of texts on your phone it takes for ever to sync.
My text never worked until I deleted the texts off my phone. Guess that I had too many texts and it never sync'd.
Great suggestion, never thought of that! My texts come through but very slow, this could be the reason, thanks!

I wonder if this is the same with the phonebook. I have over 1600 contacts on my phone and it only syncs up with three. Running the latest firmware of course.

You got way too many friends.
Could be a problem as it will sync every time you connect.
Can you narrow it down too only your best few hundred friends
Got my 2014 Street Glide Standard today. (4.3 Boom Box). I'm having similar issues to others who have posted here. I have an iPhone 5 on Verizon.
* Music seems to play fine from the iPhone. I was a little disappointed to find that you can only get the full functionality of the "find" menu (i.e. search by song, artist, album, etc.) when it's connected via USB. When it's only connected through Bluetooth you can't access the full "find" menu? Does this sound correct?
* Having issues with receiving text messages. First, I got the error that said it couldn't sync my inbox. Then I deleted a bunch of messages off my phone to reduce the load and the sync worked. However, it's still "hit and miss" receiving texts. When I had the ignition switched to accessory only I got the audio notification and text message icon to show up on the screen. I navigate: Home > Com > iphone > messages, and the new text is in my inbox. I click on it and I can both read it and the Text-to-speech reads it to me through the speakers. My hope was that this would be the case when also riding. I started the engine and let it idle in neutral and had my brother text me.......didn't get anything. Is this the way it's supposed to work? If so, that would seem to defeat the purpose (i.e. if you have to be stopped to read/hear your new message). I would think the way it is supposed to work is that it would NOT display the actual text when riding (for safety issues), but it would still do the text-to-speech. Does anyone know how this is supposed to work?
I was running low on fuel today, switched the bike off at work and had 30klms left in the tank, When i started up to go home the boom box showed up a message
"Detected low fuel, would you like directions to gas stations" I said OK and it showed me all the nearest gas stations on the map, now thats cool

Yea, it does that every time you need gas. So do both of my cars.
Any info on audio cutting in and out regardless whether it's Bluetooth streaming from my iphone or local radio station. I went to vote last night and had the radio playing on my way over and it kept going silent then coming back on almost like a lost signal switched sources same thing.

Yep it's either the weather band, CB or navigation cutting in. Any one of those could be turned on and the volume set to zero.

How long did you give the Bluetooth to connect when you tested it. In my experience it takes the Bluetooth awhile to connect and be fully functional. It should work the same in acc or running with only difference is it will not display the text while moving, only voice speech the message while moving.
