Default infotainment ?

On the 6.5 infotainment, I want to use the intercom but don't want any music on. The only way I've been able to do it is to have the music on but just turn down the volume. If I mute the system then the headsets are muted. Any solution?

The infotainment manual says that you can use the volume button to adjust intercom volume when in the intercom menu. Or when the intercom is active (vox) use the button.
Should be able to mute the media volume then.

My wife won't talk to me so I don't use the intercom.

So will the intercom work when the mute button is pushed or is everything muted?

I think the only solution is to turn the radio down... When the intercom is active or open, you can adjust the intercom volume without affecting the radio volume... That goes for any mode you are in... While that function is active you can adjust the volume of that mode... be it CB, Intercom, etc without affecting the volume of the other modes... I'm gonna play with that some more when I get the Wethead back out of the shop... I am curious now

Yes, as far as I can tell that is what can be done. You would think that there would be a way to actually shut off the music.

Ok, it does work with the music muted. Don't use the mute button.

First go a music function (tuner or usb) and turn the volume down til it's muted.
Next go to the Setup->Comms->Intercom menu
Using the volume button raise the volume for the intercom.

This will mute the music and allow you to adjust the intercom volume to any level you want.

Also you can adjust the individual volume while that function is active.

CB press the ptt button then the volume button and it will adjust just the CB
Same for all outputs

Also works for prompts like the GPS, while the girl is talking the volume button only adjust the prompt volume.
