Follow the stock harness back to a little black box which is connected to the frame, that separates and it slides off the frame.. That is where your adapter harness plugs in at.. The stock harness with two plugs is sitting in the box next to my old headlight, sorry I'm not home (away on business) or I would take a pic..
... Just follow the two stock plug wires back to that little black plug (should resemble the opposite end of the new harness) and with a little pressure it'll come apart..
Hope that helps
Sorry guys I got it! I did not follow back to the frame where the two become one. I unplugged there and plugged in the new harness and all good to go now.
Thanks for all the suggestions. While you guys were writing here I took the headlight off again to see if I missed something and sure enough I didn't know there was a jumper cable that need to come off.
Thanks again...you all were right simple install! :-)
I'm about to order the Black Daymaker LED #67700040A, Wiring Harness #692000897, and I think I will also need the Black Trim Ring #46555-03B.
Has anyone used this setup?
I had the dealer do the DayMaker upgrade while I was out of town on along business trip, so no feedback on that side. However, I can and will say the DayMaker light is freaking amazing. The way it lights up the road has to be seen to be truly appreciated. Do it.
You have right plug just didn't go back far enough on bike harness to replace with new harness. The short piece with 2 plugs unplugs then put in new harness
I bought the HD black extended trim ring for my 14 SG after I installed the LED daymaker and I'm not happy with the gap it leaves at the bottom where the two parts of the ring meet. You think Harley could have done better than they did.
