You will gain about 10% in mpg if you use pure premium unleaded instead of the 10% ethanol blend most stations sell. It cost more but you more then make up for it in the better mpg and its better for the bike. There is an app called puregas that will show you stations near you that sell ethanol free gas.
My 14 Limited averages 42 on pure premium but only 38 on the 10% blend.

Depends on the type of riding you do. High riding at 80 mine will get about 34 or 35, 60 mph back road riding might get better than 40. Overall average for combined type riding I do usually figures around 38 or 39. I use the premium E10. Occasionally, if I'm filling at about a half tank I'll top off with 89 octane.

I really can't complain living on one side of the island and riding across the mountain twice a day and still getting 35-37. My Heritage only got 34 AT BEST!! Granted it was a lot faster, I like this one better :-)

Once it's broken in and you set the cruise on the highway I think you'll see a nice little jump. I average low 40's normally unless I'm having some fun. During break in I did a lot of city riding to work the RPM's and shifting which definitely sipped a bit more.

Thanks for this post. I was wondering just the other day what the average is. I fueled up and it was at 36 MPG. I'm still at 400 miles into the break in period.

I'm at 940 miles on my bike, and I average 38-40 mpg. I have had my FM stage 1 since the bike had 1 mile on it.

Getting anywhere from 44-48, even had 2 tanks get 50. I almost crapped myself when I did the calculations...
