Default Need about another inch

of windshield...........you did not think I would admit that...............err anyway

I believe the stock windshield is 4.5", if I just need another inch or so can I get a 4.5 with the curve in it? Or do I need to go with a taller one to gain an inch
Not a big fan of the curve but also not a fan of a huge windshield

Any input? Experience?

Thanks

Rumor has it that size really does matter!

But when it comes to windshields the recurve really does work. I'd recommend checking out Long Ride Shields www.longrideshields.com

I was a windshield test pilot on my last street glide and tried lots of options and ended up having the best success with the LRS Ultra with recurve. The recurve on the LRS Ultra is relatively subtle but works well IMO. I like having a good view over the top of the shield and the LRS shield allows me to go an inch lower than non recurve options. I just put a 7" Ultra recurve on my new 2014 SGS and it made a dramatic difference over stock. I'm 5'-10" with a 32" inseam on the stock seat.

All that said, there are a lot of great options on the market. And if you find one that is close but a little to tall, it's relatively easy to cut it down to fit you.

Good luck!

Not a big fan of tall windscreens my self, went with the 6" WIndvest recurve, definitely better than stock and still looks good.

Need about another inch.... Can't help saying "That's what she said!"

I put a 10" HD wind splitter on mine and like it. My local dealer has demo windshields that you can try before you buy. I suggest you see if your dealer does the same and give some of those a try before you commit to anything.

LRS has a special going on thru the end of the week. If you use code LRSDUST at checkout you get 25% off.

We seem pretty close as I am 5'8 with a 30" inseam, so upper body seems the same. ( I was never good with math)
I was hoping to not add much in height, the 7 seems higher than I want to go but may have to
I do not get the buffeting to bad unless its pretty windy. I was riding and ducking an inch and it seemed fine. Going to see if my dealer has a loaner

Lots of good input on this thread, thanks all

Go to your dealer, they should have all sizes of the Wind Splitter to demo. It's unrelated, but mine does demo seats as well.
