I just put the 10" Yaffe's on my 14 Limited. The wires and hoses are just barely long enough. And that is after snipping cable ties inside the fairing and rerouting the wires.

My problem was that I put the bars where I wanted them and then had to redo it after not being able to get the fairing bolts back in. They had to be leaned a hair closer to me to work.

Just picked the bike up from the dealer. I was originally quoted approximately 8 hours labor. They ended up hitting me for only 5 hours. No extended clutch/brake cables needed - only wires. I'm beyond pleased with the 12" as I was contemplating 10" for quite a while.

Are stock mirrors still useful with either the 10" or 12" monkey bars? I'm 5'11.

I did 15" wiring extensions with my 12" vindikta's and I'm glad I did, 4" will never reach. The factory wiring was long enough that when run in my bars, the factory plugs stuck out of them about 2".

I have my mirrors adjusted so they're "useful" with my 12's. If I duck down a bit and lift my elbow at the same time, I can see behind me in my mirrors lol

No, fairing mirrors can not be used. I have the yaffe 12" classic bagger bars on my '14 Street Glide. I too am 5'11". The handlebar switches, covers about 3/4 of mirrors, at inboard side. The grips cover the rest.

The plus side is, after putting mirrors on, they make it SO much easier to see behind me now. They are almost eye level, so don't have to take my eyes off the road to look behind me. The fairing mirrors just didn't feel right to look down like that.

The 12" feels great. The stock bars, my back would feel pinched up after a while. Feels nice with both my low profile Corbin Hollywood solo, and Corbin Classic solo. I would not want lower, like the 10". Install only lengthened the electrical, hydraulic lines kept original.

I sat on a '12 Street Glide with monkey bars, and I could see out the mirrors, by lifting my arms a little. The monkey and classic bars have same hand position. I was told due to the new SG has the fairing positioned higher than older model.

I'm 5'9" and have the 12" monkey bars, and only a 1/2" big spot at the upper corners of the mirrors is affected. Literally 95% of the mirror is usable, and I didn't have to move or reposition them at all.

Not sure how much mirror is blocked if a taller person were to sit on my bike and try out the view.

I definitely have more mirror view now versus my previous bike. It was a 2011 , with burly 13" bars. The burly bars measure 39" wide grip to grip versus my Yaffe mbb bars which measure 36.5". So this is one factor. Wider bar means less user of the fairing mirrors.

Another factor is the mirror to mirror width itself. The 2014 bikes mirrors are spaced wider than the 2013, by a half inch if memory serves me right. The wider the mirrors are spaced, the better.

So would you say that the 10" bars would definitely hide the mirrors? Since the 12" monkey bars affect 5% of the mirror...
