Default Lugging

Is running 55 in high gear on the 14 limited lugging the engine 2000 RPM. It seems fine ,I rode a 08 ultra once and high gear was only for over 65mph

I'm finding that too. I only find myself in 6th when I am on the highway doing over 70-ish.

2000 RPM in 6th gear is lugging IMHO
I find the 103 likes to rev, more than my previous 88 or 96
Personally I ride above 2500rpm always and don't use 6th until 70 or 120kph

My 2014 Limited does great around 60 mph in 6th gear. Just over 2000 RPM, nice and steady, smooth ride as long as I'm on level road. Now if I get into a pull I'll definitely down shift. The power band in this HO 103 motor is so much bigger than my old 96".

I am pretty much with you, I hang around 2200 in 6th. I think that's the point of having it

The owners manual under recommended shift points says you can shift to 6th at 50mph. It doesn't feel like it lugs at 50 unless your climbing a hill our trying to accelerate hard.

I agree. I can run 50-55 in 6th without lugging. Couldn't do that on my 08.

I think the sweet spot is between 2500 and 3500. I shift into 6th above 65.
