I have finally figured out how to import a route from HOG Ride planner to my boom box but would like to import a route using Garmin Base camp. Can anyone help me in doing this? I have tried several ways but so far no luck. Very frustrating. Thanks

Sure, I will try and help.
You have created the ride in BC, or you have created the ride in HD RP?
Ok - ignore that last question - BC is Mac only - DUH on my part.
Easy enough - so you have a "list" created on BC with all the routes and waypoints etc. Correct?
Select that list - then go up to "file" in the menu, scroll to select Export "your list name"
It prompts you where and what format - choose your desktop (where), and select the .GPX 1.1 file version (little pop up menu on dialogue box for save).
There it is on your desktop - now copy that to your USB stick or flash drive, take it to your bike and import JUST the routes.

One thing to keep in mind - when using Basecamp with a Garmin - when you use waypoints you can select them on your route and tell BC/Garmin GPS to not notify you of these points upon arrival, that they are "shaping points". So the Garmin GPS uses them ONLY as route shapers - BUT when you load these routes onto the HD GPS 6.5 system, it sees them as Via Points and you will have to pass over/through them, otherwise the HD system will keep recalculating for you to it.
As another member posted in another thread - drill down when creating waypoints - make SURE they are on the road and side you will be traveling, avoid putting them on intersections, wrong side of the road in the opposite direction of travel you are going, and most common is you have two roads right next to each other and you are driving on one road and you are supposed to be on the other.
I go through my routes at super mag - all up close and personal like - to make 100% sure I didn't place those wp's incorrectly. And as often as I use it, I still find a few little boo boo's. :-)
