One of the reasons people buy road kings.... Jus' sayin....
Not enough versatility for me. For the long hauls my 2014 FLHTK is the best touring bike made,in 5 minutes I can have a upgraded street glide look & less than a minute after that removing the windshield I have a Road king feel without having a Road king feel if you know what I mean.Jus'sayin
And loving the wind in my face & bugs in my teeth. This is my first full fairing motorcycle so when its 80+ in California the windshield is coming off for the not so long rides. My friends have Road Glides with low windshields and looking at them from the side sitting at a Red light it looks like the top of their windshields are in-line with their chest so thats when i thought I'm taking my shield off. One more option on this highly versatile motorcycle. And yes i do like the look with out it,with the chrome strip I THINK it's a finished look.IMO
I'm usually right there with you on your mods. Not so much this time. LOL.
It looks like it's missing something.
If the SG shield isn't low enough for you, I think it might look good with a cut down SG shield. Keep the same basic shape but cut it to less than half the height. I can't imagine that would block much air and let the fairing look "finished". IMHO.
