Default Ultra Jukebox?

What are folks using the Jukebox for on their Ultras? I like being able to slip my phone in there but that big foam block just seems like such a waste of space. Thinking about pulling it out and using it for small item storage. Possibly velcro a small garage door opener in there.

I left foam insert in & use a flash drive with my music on it. I put my garage door opener on top of the foam insert. Works well for me.

Pulled the foam out and put my phone it to keep it charged on long rides. Had to get a right angle USB cable though because the cave isn't deep enough.

I got the 1 foot long version. The normal 3 foot cables are too long for that little hole.

I picked up a short right angle cable too! $2 on eBay. Even with the foam insert in it works perfectly.

I just trimmed down the foam to cover the bottom...I have a 16g iPod and my garage door opener in there.

Removed the foam piece, plugged in a thumb drive and have plenty of room for small wallet with registration and insurance card, reading glasses and a few cigars.

Yeah, that foam is tricky stuff to work with. I put tunes on a USB stick and stuck it in there. Much easier to work with than a phone. I've got the three compartment windshield bag so don't really need that little cubby for storage anyway. Just left the foam as is and secures the USB just fine.

I took the foam out of mine and use a 32gb sdcard, velcroed the USB end to the top of the box, removed the slack out of the line from inside the fairing, now I have tons more room in there for other stuff. What I would like to do is extend the USB cable to the back of the bike in the tourpak, but that's another project.

I use the jukebox for a 16GB ipod nano I picked up recently. Stays charged and being hooked up to the USB, I'm able to select a playlist or artist or whatever. I put the iphone in the tourpak hooked up to the charger and can connect on Bluetooth on it and stream Pandora when I want it.
