yep I am right at 7k in Central FL spent a lot of time Saturday in 90+ temps in a lot of stop and go and no problems at all.
It did overflow once or twice when I first got it but at around 2k they did the filler neck update and all has been great since then.

There are numerous discussions on the board about coolant leaks. Problem is they're speculation at best. I thought Harley corrected the problem. Does anyone know what's happening?
If it was a demo event where HD brings in an 18 wheeler full of bikes. They would have been HD responsibility to get fixed. If the dealer was letting people test ride bikes from his stock, which I doubt, then it would be his problem to fix. The dumping of coolant was due to the filler neck that has been corrected with a new material. But you do have to get it replaced on bikes built before November 18. I'm guessing no one bothered updating filler neck on the bikes on the demo trailer.

Thanks to all for the feedback. The bike with the leak was from dealer stock. At this point I plan to wait another model year before I again consider a Twin Cool model.

Mine has been flawless. No leaks, no clutch problems, no rattles or buzzings. Just a solid fun and powerful bike. I am truly getting a rush from these rush bikes. I even have been able to figure out and use the Infotainment/GPS system, despite it's several quirks and shortcomings.

I was like you Geoff, I was going to wait, but once I sat on one and read all the great things, I couldn't. But if you have the willpower and can wait, I don't blame you! They may even have some cool colors for next year as well as all bugs worked out. No rush to get the Rush.

I got the 14 ultra limited and 1100 miles with no problems...been in mid 80s heat in city traffic.
That being said I got the bike in Feb. and didn't check the VIN on the HD site until after the 1k service was done, I then found an outstanding program for the filler neck to be replaced.
Seems to me to be a shared problem...HD and the dealer.
Some dealers are too lazy to be bothered with it.
Some don't care...when lazy and don't care combine then look out.
I could not agree more.

Geoff a small group of the bikes had a problem and the moco had a recall. Not a Toyota style recall but still a recall. Mostly on the forums the people you jear from are those having problems or those who wish the has a bike and are wanting to gripe about twha they don't have. The rest of us who by and large are extremely happy with our bikes are out riding. Go ahead and get one. You have a two year warranty.

Picked mine up the 1st of March, first (and only) coolant puddle on the garage floor happened at the 7,000 mile mark. Dealer said subject to the "campaign" (read: recall) and fixed. Headed for AK via FL and ME in 4 weeks, will keep an eye on the coolant level.

Mine puked a few times out of the overflow. It also was had a small drip from the thermostat. Dealer performed the program to replace the filler neck and installed a new thermostat. I just got back from New Orleans where I am happy to report I rode a couple hundred miles in very humid 88 deg. traffic. A lot of the riding was in stop and go downtown traffic. I had no issues whatsoever. The EITMS kicked on all the time because it was above 80 degs, and the fans ran a lot too. Very happy that I had no issues. I actually took the bottle of coolant out of my saddlebags.

That poll was before the recall happened. I don't think it's accurate anymore. I would not put any stock in it's results today.

I would like to know if that bike was a pre-recall model, or from the factory after the problem was resolved. From the sound of the dealer, I would bet they had it laying around and have not tried to install the recall kit on it. They'd rather talk abd about their own products! I would never go to that dealer.

Mine has only a little over 1,000 miles so far. No leaks. I would bet that if we had a new poll and only asked about post recall bikes, then it'd be a much smaller percentage that have any leaks.

What water pump recall? I haven't seen anything on this. Am I missing something?
