Default "Finding Neutral"

A good point was brought up in a post.

Does everyone with a 2014 Rushmore find it a bit challenging and time consuming finding neutral?

Harder than it should be. I'm hoping after my 1000 m service it helps.

Its actually one of the easier Harley's I've own to find neutral....yes you have to learn by feel to get it there....however, on the postive note, if it was real easy, like on some other brands, you would be finding neautral about every time you shifted from first to second....LOL

I am. I had the same problem with my 08 RK and thought the 14 Classic would be easier. It's not. But no biggie as long as it works.

I don't find it harder....I actually use the back shifter peg when I am in first...and "kick down" with just alittle force,,,and it usually pops into neutral everytime!

That's the only reason I keep the heel shifter on mine. It does help.

I guess I've not had much of an issue. Sometimes I find it easier to drop from 2nd with my heel than using my toe. Some have reported by using an alternate transmission oil (Like Redline) they claim it's easier to find neutral.

Usually trouble finding neutral is fixed easily with a clutch adjustment, but not sure with the new hydraulic clutch's.

Mine really aggravated me for the first 1000 miles til I did the 1000 mile service myself and I installed Bel Ray Big Twin transmission oil in the tranny, as always done in all my past bikes, and it instantly went to neutral with ease . Plus I've always found it easier to use the heel shifter and tap it with your heel to find neutral

That's been an issue for sometime, not just the 14's. I suggest at your next service going with a good trans oil. I 'm a fan of RedLine ShockProof.
