So I'm looking at the sundowner but want to make sure I can use the adjustable backrest.

Thanks.
I have the HD backrest and Sundowner, works just fine.

I just installed the Mustang yesterday . I liked the way it adjusted better than the HD model . I am running the Mustang Heated, two-up touring seat also.

I just bought the C&C Solo yesterday with the Jumbo Passenger Pillion and Backrests. Fit and finish is great. I'll try and post a picture tonight. Backrest is wonderful.

Yep works fine with the Sundowner. But I had that 2" of metal cut out so the backrest pad rides at the top of the seat and on your lower back. It's uncomfortable with the backrest pad supporting you in the middle of your back I believe. There is still plenty of adjustment to raise the pad back up if needed. Just take the metal support apart, cut out about 2" and weld it back and instant comfort.
