Default Picture of LA Chopper 8" Apes

Hi,
Does anyone have a picture of a Street Glide with LA Chopper Twin Peak 8" Apes? A buddy of mine put 12" Yaffe Monkey Bars on his SG. The 10" Twin Peak bars look like they are about the same height as the Yaffe's. They looked great but just a little too high for my liking.
Thanks

It's not a matter of height/looks...more for your comfort. 8" bars pretty much don't provide more reach/height than stock. What are you trying to accomplish?

I really like the look of the Twin Peaks and also the PY Monkey bars. My buddy had 12" Monkey Bars on his SG they were too high for my liking. I kind of like the stock height. On a long day of riding I get the usual neck and back aches from the stock bars but I like the control I have over my bike by having a shorter bar. So, I guess I want something higher than stock but also below the top of the fairing. I'm open to suggestions but would like to see some pictures so I can make an educated decision.
As always, Thanks for any advice.

Got it...makes sense and the best way to measure for bars is sit on bike, hold hands/arms up to where you want to sit and measure (height and reach). Then compare to bars you're looking at. Also, call the manufacturers for advice as...they know their products and can recommend best fit for your need(s). Good luck!

\I am in the same boat you are and am also thinking about the 8". I was thinking 10" but i really dont want to add bar mounted mirrors. I am only looking for an inch or so in height but I want a longer reach. I like being canted forward slightly. I have sent them an email and I am waiting to hear back. i will share any info they provide when i get it.

where do you measure from on the bike to get what height bars you need? triple trees? bottom of stock bars?
