Was looking at a new limited in the dealers showroom and noticed that bikes built in June had a software version 1.17.5 installed . Hopefully it addresses the avc which barely works. Still has the old version on the HD website though.
Hope we don't have to buy a new bike to get a software update...
Still wondering when/if there ever be a map update. 3Q of 2012 is pretty lame, the world changes too fast for maps that old. Not really worried about the maps that much but POI's are pretty important on a mapping program.
Updates should be in the cloud and sent to the nav system on the bike periodically.
It's just me, but I want current mapping info or I'll just navigate by dead reckoning, although there aren't too many Starbucks in the center of Nevada...LOL

This really pisses me off. Why isn't the .5 available for download?
Communication from harley on this topic is really poor.
When are they going to release .5?
What is included? Firmware only? Or maps updates too?
What's the poilcy going to be for future updates?
It will be firmware only, but rumor has it they are not going to release 1.17.5 they are going to release a 1.18.0 version instead.. as for maps, the latest version which sadly we must purchase will be released this fall..
Well I got to get mine in for a 5000 mile oil change soon and some warranty work, my vent flapper broke and now the ABS recall. I will se if they give me the update as well.

Well.. Not sure how the double post happened. I am also not smart enough to delete it. Sorry.
