I'm pretty sure it's the daymaker they are complaining about.
I believe they are complaining about the new halogen light that comes with the 2014's. Many people have complained about them, especially when riding on the back roads and in un-lit areas. I replaced mine with the DayMaker LED headlight and have noticed a world of difference which is why I suggested it
I'm unsure what type headlamp came on these new 14 ultra limiteds as I thought they were the daymaker lights are they not? I just want a bright light that will emit a round beam of light and that's bright.
Ohhhhh Now I get it! I thought you guys were crazy! I have an Ultra Limited and the lights are awesome! I did not realize my Limited had different lights then the standard Ultra. Yea if you guys get the chance put the Day Maker lights on. If they are the same I have on my Limited they are worth the cost.

Ultra Classic has them also but Street Glides have the dual halogen. I still can't find any definitive information as to which HD LED is better - projector or reflector? The one time I rode it at night I didn't find the headlight alone to be all that wonderful and just OK with the spots on. I've seen a few on the road coming towards me and again, not that impressive or noticeable. Plain old halogen lights seem much better during daylight hours.

Now I'm confused. I thought the lights on the 2014 ultra and 2014 limited were the same.
You might want to try a set of Motolights, I run the TL Phase 7 headlight and spots with Motolights and it's works better than my car first time I've had a bike with better lighting than my car. Here is a review I wrote about Motolights and if you go to my Youtube channel I also have a video with the TL lights with Motolights.
