On two occasions the last three weeks my bike wouldn't start. Here's what happened both times. I was out riding with a group. We stopped to talk a few minutes. I shut the bike off with the kill switch. I don't think I turned the ignition off either time. After a few minutes I went to start the bike back up and all I got was my four way flashers going off. The bike was in neutral and the clutch was pulled in. The infotainment system was not coming on. It was dead except for the flashers. I shut everything down and then back on and still only the flashers were working. I shut everything off and on several times and finally, after about 2-3 minutes everything went back to normal and it started. I'm not sure it's something I did or not. I am switching to my other key fob for my next ride but this is a new bike and the fob is only nine months old.
My dealer told me that he has had a few 14's that the key fob stopped working had to be reprogrammed. The fobs were working fine only a couple months old.
I'm sure the '14 is the same as my '13 Limited, but I noticed that if I have my smart phone in the same pocket as the fob, the bike sometimes won't see the fob. Just a thought.

In the owners manual it says that the fob must be at least 3" away from other electronic devices.
I had two occasions this last week where I flipped on the ign. and hit the starter and nothing...the info screen was also black. Flipped it back OFF then On and away we went. Funny thing was, the fuel pump started and it seemed normal and ready to run but, no crank.
Kinda makes you pucker when you're out in the boonies...
My cell phone is usually away from the fob but I do keep a garage door opener on the same key chain as the fob? That's never been a problem before. Does anyone think that a garage door opener next to the fob might be the issue?
