I disagree.

I had a Road Glide for 3 years and 30,000 miles. I really think the Batwing handles the wind better... and if the wind isn't blowing straight at you, you better hang on with a frame mounted fairing.

And as to the "top of the line touring models"...

Harley Davidson Ultra and Ultra Limited are absolutely the top of the line.

Don't get me wrong... I love a sharknose!

My 2 cents

The frame mounted fairing is theoretically better, but having ridden both frame and fork mounted, my experience is that the difference is minimal. The new RG does not have lowers, it does not have a Tourpak, and it does not have a dedicated passenger seat. Sure you can add those items at a cost, but the bottom line is that in stock trim it functions the same as a Street Glide with two headlights.

I hope to see a touring version next year with a tourpack, fairing lowers and possibly liquid cooled. I must say the new fairing design is growing on me.

I believe there will be.

It wouldn't surprise me to see it unveiled at the dealer meeting.

If not, I'd bet a glass of single barrel bourbon there will be in '16.

Lots of people checking it out today at Black Hills Harley in Rapid City. I didn't attempt to test ride today, but I will tomorrow. The handlebars were a little funky and I'm sure they would take some getting used to if you left them stock.

Nicest pics of the new RG I've seen so far. Maybe it's the color?

I hope this is true. With my bad leg a CVO trike would be nice, but I've always wanted a CVO SG
