I have a basic Stage1 Road King (decatted OEM headers, SE cleaner, V&H twin round mufflers and a PC5) the bike was dynoed by the dealer when I added the Stage 1 stuff but it has always "surged" at low speeds and lately has developed a real hesitation when you roll on the throttle at lower revs and some decel popping.
The dealers service dept has pissed me off on other issues so today I rode 80 kms to a small well reviewed performance shop and had them redo the dyno test.
Although there isn't much difference in the actual numbers (added 3 hp to make 84 and 4 lbs torque to give me 104) the difference in the rideability is marked. The bike is much "snappier" and responsive and also a lot smoother at low revs and speeds. The decel popping is almost eliminated.
I am a happy camper and I learned that a good dyno is not only about the " numbers"
