My entire house is all Apple equipment. I want to do the latest update for my '14 FLHTC but I keep getting conflicting information on using iMac.
I was able to download the .iso update. Will it not work if I put it on a stick to transfer onto the bike?
Also what about ride planning? Am I able to use HD Ride Planner and transfer via stick from my iMac to my FLHTC?
Please, no guesses. I would like information from someone that actually knows the answer.
To get it to work you need to format your jump drive to MSDos then drag over the ISO file - just the ISO file
i use an iMac and it would not do it until you do this
All sticks are formatted for windows but its better to redo it in disk utility under
partition drive - select 1partition and msdos and title it
your done -- makes it clean with none of the windows crap on it
If you have a flash drive, and you've never formatted it on your mac, it's very likely already in the correct format. Othwerwise, you can use "disk utility" to do it.
