I was looking to buy some headsets for half helmets that you can communicate with another bike can you do this from the harley half helmet head sets? Anyone have any recommendations
I have a 2014 ultra limited
Thanks
Bike to bike comm requires 2-way radios on each bike. A couple ways to get there:
1) CB radio on each bike. If you have the OEM CB (on each bike), connecting the HD wired headset gets you there. J&M offers a handlebar mount CB. Cobra & Midland have units that can work on bikes as well, but those units are not waterproof.
2) BT headsets w/bike to bike capability. Multiple choices here, such as Cardo Scala, Sena & others. These will not interface with the HD Infotainment radios or HD wired headsets.
I have the MOCO headset for my half helmets and they work just fine.
My real issue is the radio cutting out from noise on mic while riding.
I've played with VOC buttons and such, still haven't found the sweet spot. This is one area that the Goldwings have mastered.

Just use the headset that came with your bike. Harley sells pockets that attach to half helmets that hold the speakers. The nice thing about the pockets is they are comfortable and don't put pressure on your ears.
Most of you guys are way too funny. The OP wants to talk bike to bike, but his bike doesn't have a CB (unless he's added one, which didn't seem to be the case). Which wired headset he uses doesn't matter a bit until he puts a 2 way radio on the bike. And the bikes he wants to talk to have 2 way radios as well.
If the op does not have a 2 way system, he can purchase a wireless headset that will allow him to connect from bike to bike. Something like this will work - and thee are others.

OP stated he has a 2014 Ultra Limited...in which case he does have a CB.
