I was one of those that wouldn't give in to apes .................. But I tried WO578's on my Limited and loved them. I just put the WO577's on my SGS. I'm completely satisfied, I have no desire to go higher .............

Apes are a future mod but I see there are numerous sizes to choose. I am thinking 10" or 12" for comfort. Not looking to hang from the bars. I am 5'8". What would folks recommend?

Not sure what bike you have, but 10-12" sound like a good height for you. Depending on model and year, you may get 10" out of stock bars. Such is true with the the OEM 2015 Road Glide bars when you pull the pin and roll them forward.

That's what I was thinking. Leaning to the 10" now to figure out which bars. So many to choose from. The HD Chiseled style look good. LA Choppers are also pretty nice bars.
