2017 FLHRXS Front End Shake
Forgive me if this has been covered but I haven't had much luck finding any posts that cover my precise problem. I have a 2017 Road King Special. About 500 miles or so ago it developed a front a shake at about 40mph +/- 2 or 3 mph. I've already changed the wheel bearings (which was needed) and adjusted the steering head cup and the problem persists. The bike has just over 5,000 miles on it and the tires appear to be ok but I have gone ahead and ordered a set of Michelin Commander 2's. Hoping this seals the deal but was wondering what to look at next if it doesn't. I've been experimenting with suspension adjustments and tire presssures with negative results. The one thing I did notice is that when I install my detachable tour pack and load the wife on back, it exacerbates the problem. The bike has been looked at twice by two different dealer mechanics and they appear to be as mystified as I am. Anybody out there have the same issue? After the tires, I really don't feel like throwing money at guesswork. Appreciate any advice.

Did another search and found a thread similiar to the one I started here. It appears tires may be the answer. I hope to find out in the coming days when I get the new Michelins fitted and balanced. If that is the case, I am going to be pissed that I only got 5000 miles out of the stock Dunlops. I am very **** about monitoring the tire pressure on my bikes so if these tires are the cause, I'd like to know why they failed so early.
