Dude. How hard was it to get that sporty tank mounted? I want to setup a Sporty 48 tank on mine and I'm finding it hard to get answers on how to do it and how much of a pain it is. Thanks.
I chose the 12" bars, which are about an inch and a half higher than the stockers and while it was a little tight everything fit fine. One note, mine is a non-ABS bike and I had to remove the screw that attaches the brake line to the lower triple tree. I needed about a half inch in order to keep it bolted down there. I may search for and get a new brake line eventually, but for now it's fine.
Hope that helps.

Super helpful, I also have the non ABS bob. Im thinking I would like to stick closer to the stock height. Not a tall rider at 511. Thanks again for your response. I unfortunately had to tuck mine away for the winter nap; but that gives me the time to plan mods.
cheers
I'm shorter than you at 5'5. The thing I found about the stock bars is just how wide they are at the grips. Even though they are shorter than the new ones, my arms were so wide on the bars I had to pull roll them back to have a comfortable riding position. The new ones are taller, but I can keep them positioned more in line with the forks and still sit comfortably due to the narrowness at the hand position. At the position they are in the pics, my hands are right at shoulder height.
Hope that helps.
