Hello there!
Im looking for the new slip-ons for my Fat boy 2018 (FLFBS) instead of the stock ones.
I saw there the discussion on selection the loud pipes. But the fact of the matter is that i dont want it be that loud.
There are plenty of slip-ons to choose from in the market, but they seem to be quite noisy.
So the question is which among the big variety of the aftermarket slip-ons would you advice to install instead of the stock ones so that it wont be that loud to disturb people and it would sound quite good and pleasant for my ears?
And do i need to have any exhaust system adjustments made for my bike after the new slip-ons are installed?
V&H slip-ons come from the factory with basic removable baffles, and they sell different types of baffles separately that can really quiet it down or make it louder.
I have S&S grand nationals with the high flow cat. They have a very nice deep tone. Not loud when at cruising speed. Crack the throttle they will bark. I kept in the dB reducers. No tune needed as per the company. Zero deceil pop. Comes with very nice muffler gaskets.
Would highly recommend but check out others reviews and videos.
Or just go with Screamin Eagle slip-ons. Not too loud, but break in nicely and sound good. I was initially thinking they are too quiet, but after 1,000 miles or so, they are perfect for me.
Check out the Rineharts.
I have the 3 1/2" on my 09 Fatboy and they are awesome! Nice low rumble at idle that you will love and the neighbors won't complain. Then when you open her up they really come alive.

Thanks for the info. Will go to the top of my list. Notice any difference in performance?
