Default Passenger footpegs

Going to purchase and install passenger footpegs on my 18 Slim. I get that I have to purchase the passenger footpeg support kit at $100 (not sure yet if there is an aftermarket replacement for that) https://www.harley-davidson.com/store/passenger-footpeg-support-kit-pa-07-50500769--1 but then I cannot find a footpegs set that fit the 18 Slim for less than $85 on the Harley website. What happen to the affordable good old rubber footpegs; don't need no fancy ***** G. skull stuff or similar... I found these on the Harley website but according to Harley, they don't fit the 18 Slim (see link) https://www.harley-davidson.com/store/large-cushioned-footpeg-kit?source_cd=SEM_Shop_PLA#tabs. Is the thickness of the male part thinner? If that's it, I probably can put some washers to get back to specs. Anyone tried this?

I have just gone through the process of changing the footpegs on a 2018 Fatboy and purchased the adaptors from DK Customs to enable you to fit any footpeg you wish.
They work well and are very affordable

Going to be doing the same soon; no issue to install the right passenger peg? Looks like there is not not much room behind the slide that bolt in that new frame.

I bought part # 50500609 and 50500726 for my 2018 Street Bob. You can get them less than $65.

Footpeg support is not removed at all, small blocks are inserted into the clevis to allow old style peg fitment

Imzzelite also has passenger mounts for 18 softails and allows the use of older style pegs with the mounts. Just another alternative
