I really like the old and the new LRS, and if I could buy a bike today, a silver 2020 LRS would be in my yard. I gotta laugh, though, when I see older Dyna models for sale for more than they cost new. I guess the new M8 owners are no different. Here is a 2020 for sale nearby - guys asking $20k, and he is claiming he knocked $4k off what he paid. Arent these selling for around $18k? This bike only has some aftermarket pipes (looks like slipons) and guy is claiming he paid $24k out the door. WTF??? A lot of greedy a$$holes out there.
I paid 18.4k for my Silver LRS, with a 500 dollar gift card thrown in. Taxes (8.9% cough), misc bits and bobs bought at purchase and what not was closer to 20k. Later I added slip-ons for $450. I've got a few other items since then but I"m no where near 24k. He either way over paid or he's full of poo-poo.
The Dyna LRS is commanding premium prices as it was limited production. The Softail LRS is effectively just another 2020 model. Nothing special (though very special to us owners).
There are always people trying to rip you off. How many eBay auctions for used crap you can get on Amazon new for way less... As someone once said “there is a sucker born every minute”
If they pay more then retail, good for the seller, and the buyer needs his/her head examined for stupidity...
