Default 5K Service: Fall or Spring?

My goal was to hit 5K on my '19 Deluxe and have the dealership perform the 5K Service before putting it away for the year. Alas, I missed my goal by about 800 miles. Also, at the 1K service, I had the dealership switch to synthetic ("Syn 3") oil. As I understand it, the Synthetic's don't necessarily break down like the mineral oils do when sitting stagnant for the winter. Also, I don't torture the bike: All my riding was a mix of country back-roads and some highway travel.

So, do I:
  1. Take it to the dealership for an early 5K service (at around 4200) before putting it away for the winter.
  2. Change the oil now, realizing I will probably be taking it to the dealership early in the spring (after logging 800 more miles)
  3. Simply put it to bed with a full tank of stabilized fuel and plugged into the tender (which it's always on, when not being ridden).
1 & 2 seem unnecessarily costly and 3 seems a bit lazy (but cheap!)

I'm open to any suggestions.

Please no "Mineral vs. Synthetic" or "DIY vs. Dealership Service" flames - there are quite enough threads on those already.

Thanks,

-PH

Your oil only has 3200 miles on it. It's plenty fresh to prevent corrosion over the winter. #3 it is.

I would go with #3 and wouldn't even think twice about it.

Synthetic? Seriously? Just kidding
I'd go for an 800 mile ride this weekend, or just use option #3.

Where is option #4 Keep riding until there is snow?
Or option #4.5 Hope for random warm days to keep riding that extra 800 miles?

I live in an area in Colorado where I can usually get out at least a couple times a month and ride. Mid December to mid January can be a little iffy. So I don't worry too much about winterization. I also have heat in my shop and keep it around 50*. Regardless I would go with #3.

If you're going to take it to the dealer for Scheduled maintenance, do it in the fall.
