I guess I'm just not sold on spending that kind of coin on suspension for these kind of bikes.. I mean I would love to have more ground clearance but how hard are you going to push these kind of motorcycles... To me its not really like road racing a sportbike where your at max lean angle fighting for traction going in and coming out or turns..

well many times I have ran out of clearance not to mention the fork dive while braking into turns. If u dont ride hard enough to need it then dont do it. Some of us need more out of these bikes. The diff between a good suspension setup for u and the way u ride is night and day different from the crappy *** stock for setup.

If it doesn't make sense, then save your cash as it isn't intended for you. There are plenty of better ways to spend your money if you are happy with the stock stuff. With that said, some of us do ride these like sport bikes and that is why we spend the $ for these mods.

Why would I want that pos. This could possibly be my least favorite comment about my bike. I get it all the time. I want the best handling fastest Harley I can build. I do all my own wrenching and I enjoy the time with my brother as we take **** apart and put something better back on its half the fun. Its never about money so I dont care that I could have bought 5 jap bikes for what build a Harley like this costs.
I have had sport bikes also. they are very fun, but suck to ride for anything other than hauling ***. My FXLRS is the in between bike for me. Still comfortable enough to take for a cruise, but built to perform as well. I don't expect most others to understand and I'm cool with that. Oh, and if I were to buy another sport bike, it sure as hell wouldn't be a Suzuki.

Chill, Gar. It was a joke (hence the LOL). I'm all for building up a fine bike, of any brand, but through the years and wisdom of lost dollars, have come to appreciate a bike for what it was built for.
A GSXR is definitely NOT a pos, as anybody who's ridden one would know. It's a finely crafted race machine made street legal that can be bought for cheap. The 750 makes almost as much power as my Busa (it just comes on much later and has a much narrower power band), and the GSXR handles way better than my Busa which is a 550 pound porkster compared to a real sport bike. But GSXR will also kill you after maybe more than 2 - 3 hours riding, and the Kawi offerings are worse yet for comfort.
Harleys are great bikes (I have 4 of them). I'm super glad to see some of the HD's recent design directions (e.g., the FXLRS - I'm jealous!).
Apologies offered. No offense was meant. Totally supportive of your build. Would love to see it in person and would be delighted to buy you a good beer and discuss the cool design decisions you've made for your build.
