So...Harley now has Adaptive Headlights for the 2018+ Softails. Model# 67700426A for about $850. (Harley P&A Link)
But, they still have the older version Model# 67700426 for about $595. (Harley P&A Link)
Does anyone know what the specific differences between these two parts would be? $250 is a big difference. If it is just a wiring harness change, I can do that pretty cheap.
I did check J.W. Speaker's website. Their Harley fitment chart only goes up to model year 2017

Just a little more information...
I did look at the installation instructions between the two to see if there were any differences I could see in the illustrations. Unfortunately, the installation instruction link for the older 67700426 model links to the newer 67700426A instruction pdf.
The older version fits the nacelle setup inside of the Touring models.
The new A version fits the mounting hardware in the Softail 7inch headlamp bodies.
If you're wondering about the JWSpeaker/Custom Dynamics adaptive headlamp
Here's the email I got when I asked CD about it

Hi Fran,Thanks for reaching out and for considering Custom Dynamics. Unfortunately, we don't list a fitment for your model because the nacelle Harley added to the headlamp changed the fitment. If we do come up with something for those models, it will be announced in our newsletter. Just let us know if you'd like to be signed up for updates.
Thank You,
Kim

...
It looks like the older and newer version fit the Touring models (according to the fitment tables on the P&A webpage). This makes me wonder how similar the physical enclosure is...with maybe connectivity being the only difference. Without seeing them side-by-side, or getting detailed drawings, there's no way for me to tell.
I chatted with a Harley technician and he seemed to think that the older part number won't fit in the 2018+ headlamp bucket. Sounds like I'll be forking out money for the newer part number. Maybe I'll just slow down morenin turns at night.

I mean its not the worst thing ever.
I definitely want the adaptive, and the CD/JW version doesn't carry over the style, so I'm gonna go with the harley one since it's closest to the styling.
Style has value, i guess.
Silver lining, your'e supporting the company at least, I mean not that it's a charity or anything.
I reckon I shouldn't be too taken back at the price. I did some work at a company that makes LED headlight assemblies for the automotive industry and I've seen how much goes into manufacturing them. With as many LEDs and lenses are in the adaptive headlight, it ain't gonna be cheap.
