Not sure if it's worth a topic but here goes ... Normally when I do day trip.... I try not to lug the hard saddle case/bag along as it makes the bike a little bit less nimble(IMHO). However without the saddle bags, I can't bring along some essential items such as "tyre repair kit", "mini air pumps", "rain coat", "tools", etc
Hence I bought some stuffs recently and I wasn't sure if it matches with the bike overall or it went a little over the top. But well, just incase you guys find it useful. 😄
Added a swing arm bag where I put my raincoat and a portable mini air pump. Still have some storage left for other smaller items.
Strapped a toolbox Infront of the fork and I was able to fit in tyre repair kit together with some handy tools.
This is the most interesting pouch. I can detach it and lug it onto my belt as they provide accessories to attach the pouch to your belt. Useful when I want to put in small items such as loose cash, credit card, phone, etc...
Overall look of the pouch when mounted onto the tank. Product name : some tank bag (duh....) https://www.endscuoio.com/product/2018-2020-sport-glide-smart-bag/
Install wind/rain guard. It also have some small pouch compartment, not sure how useful is it but well... It's there.
Product name : Dessert dawg rain/wind guard
Had same issue with my Heritage running a front tool bag. Scuff marks on fender, even when it looks like you have a lot of clearance. If anything heavy in the bag, risk dents.
Alright, good feedback... Maybe the front toolbox might not be viable... Anyone have bad experience on the swing arm bag ? Is it ok to use ?
Fork-mounted toolbag is very classic, but an even bigger concern is blocking airflow to the oil cooler and the engine. Some folks mount the bag to the handlebars which also looks good to me.

That is how I have mine mounted, on the handle bars, also easier to get into it when I need something from it.
