If this is your one and only motorcycle then you pays your money...

I have a FP3 per Harley so I have 5 pcs at this time, a bike is not an investment neither are the parts you buy for them, it is al a waste of money
Oh yeah I have a PV to, I bought that one one for my FXFBS and took it straight of again and bought another FP3, the PV is stored to see never
daylight again.

The wideband tuning kit is the ideal solution for road tuning as you can tune the entire operating range with closed-loop O2 sensor feedback. You get a perfect road tune using your phone and then switch back to the stock narrowband sensors which now have near perfect VE tables to work with.

Once in autotune mode the FP3 works the bike in closed loop mode. It is probably why V&H tell you the engine might run poorly whilst it is doing its work.

The difference is that the wideband sensor can give an exact value of how rich or lean the mixture is as opposed to the narrow band that only informs rich, lean or ideal.

With wideband tuning, the FP3 can tune directly to the target fuel table over the entire operating range. Autotune mode is completely different with the wideband kit.

You asked for opinions so here's mine. Just buy a Power Vision right up front and save having to do it later after already spending cash on the FP3.

Can you log data, and edit maps offline on a computer with these things yet? [EDIT: ADD] ...and what about logging spark knock?

As far as I know the FP3 tuning software is for your phone or an iPad. Most users seem to like it as it was developed for that environment. You can edit maps offline on either device.

I only know of using a real time sensor display of ignition timing to look for knock retard. You can run a screen recording while using the sensor data display that has four channels set to front spark advance, rear spark advance, RPM, and Manifold Absolute Pressure.
This is everything you need to check the timing. Just playback the recording after you ride. Good enough for a home user.
