Hey guys, so I’ve done the stage one, with Bassani pro street turn outs right from the head, no cat, Power visions map, and Ventilator extreme Air cleaner. I’m not sure what the performance difference is if any. I do know it sounds better, does have more vibe, and is obviously sucking more hair. Thinking about a cam and wondering which one. Something else is on my mind too. I can’t see how anybody can really get this bike up over four grand while shifting gears. It almost seems like to me the bike would want to come apart if I read the engine in any gear especially the lower gears up over 3600. I love wine in the RPMs out but I’ve been going easy because I’m just approaching 1000 miles on the bike now. One of my questions is, will the good Cam let me run the RPMs higher More easily. That was the case with my 2004 super glide. When I put a new cam and now it seems like I could really run the gears out. With my current set up, obviously beIng The M8 107, learning more and more every time I ride it. I live in the finger Lakes region which is very hilly, and I can run this by seemingly in fourth gear at 55 mph and not have to shift up in the fair and it’s only running like 26 2700 rpm’s. If I do put in new Cam in it I don’t want it to be so aggressive that it doesn’t ride well at slow speed around town. I don’t want it to be really Surgi and touchy. One thing that does kind of concern me I am getting a little popping if I release the throttle too quickly, there seems to be a lot of bad pressure with these pipes. The power visions tuner map was installed by the Harley Davidson dealer. I may all super glad I actually bought the power visions unit. I’m wondering if I need to do that again. To fine-tune the fueling. Please don’t Misunderstand this thread I do love the bike it’s a torque monkey and every time I get on it I learn more and I do love a lot of things about the way it rides. I even like the lope at idle. It doesn’t seem to be that far off from the classic Harley lope. It seems better set of putting on the pipes and the tune with the air cleaner, unless it’s just in my head. Hopefully you guys can give me some feedback about this thread I’m sorry if it seemed a bit scatterbrained but every time I ride the bike I just naturally think of questions that I can ask you guys about it.
There are a lot of cam choices so you can run the RPM's to 6k.
I got my Stage II cam and matching tune for my Power Vision from Fuel Moto, could not be happier.

If you use full throttle in the lower gears, you will get to 6000 rpm easy with your bike as is. Make sure you like doing that before you buy a cam to make more power on the top end.
You definitely want a torque cam for riding hills from low to high RPM, I run mine pretty hard in the hills or Twisties a average of 3 -4k rpm , I like to control a bike with a motor into the turns and not brakes a torque cam easily alowes this at all speeds or on a straight away or freeway it's just streight out fast at any RPM 2019 FXDR 114 I built my bike for hills and turns

It just doesn’t seem good for the bike. Like it seem like it’s going to come apart haha.

Awesome! So You’re ride it hard? These Harleys will take it? The back brakes on the Bob you really have to step on them anyway!

Tons of cams to choose from. Some more smooth than others. Stone cold and another did a cam test on the m8 models somewhere on this website. The tts100 cam was the smoothest of them all, although it did not produce the most horsepower/tq.
when it comes to performance, you have to give some to get some. Take your pick. As you ride you will get used to the set up.
